What do you make?
I sculpt miniature decorative items out of clay, such as key rings,  magnets,  paperweights and jewellery etc.

What inspires you?
I live with a condition  called osteogenesis imperfecta or brittle bone disease which means I fracture a lot. Sometimes my fractures limit what I can do.  I use everything around me to inspire me.  For my research I look on the Internet and on social media. I’m in touch with other crafters and they help me on how to use various materials and techniques.
How did you begin your making journey?
I spent a lot of time in hospitals in bed due to fractures, which led me to crafting. To begin with I experimented with make up; then sketching, painting, and making slimes. This all led up to my clay sculpting and opened up my world of crafting. there is nothing I don’t do or try to do.

What is your favourite thing to make?
I don’t have favourite things to make. I go according to the trends with where my emotions and passion leads me. I really enjoyed making avocados in clay, so I made them into key rings, magnets and even jewellery. At the moment I’m into experimenting mixing clay and resin into jewellery.

Do you ever have crafting disasters?
I have crafting disasters all the time which leads to frustration but I don’t give up.  I  keep going until I’m satisfied with what I’ve created.

If you had a crafting wish, what would it be?
I would love to have a crafting room where everything would be accessible to me.

Become a Fayre & Square Artisan

Our special team of artisans are often described as a family of craft loving, community friendly people. We are proud of our team, whose talents shine through in their craft and their obvious passion for helping others.

We sell a wide variety of homemade items created by our artisans, both in our shop in Centre Court Shopping Centre in Wimbledon and online. To keep our shop running, our artisans volunteer their time in the shop. Details of what you can do to help can be discussed.

Our artisans also donate a small percentage of sales to the project in order for us
to continue to support young people with learning or physical disabilities, mental health or confidence issues to gain work experience and skills.
