Brambleberry Crafts aka Louise
What do you make?
I make a variety of things. Most of what I make is either sewn or crochet. What inspires you? I enjoy losing myself in crafting - I find keeping my fingers busy is very relaxing for my mind. The Fayre & Square Wimbledon project inspires me as I can use something I enjoy to also help our trainees to realise their potential. How did you begin your making journey? It feels like I've always been crafting. My Granny taught me to crochet. My Mum taught me to sew - I've fond memories of us tackling my first proper dress pattern together when I was a teenager. |
What is your favourite thing to make?
I particularly like taking something old and turning it into something new. One of my favourite things to make is changing old jeans into oven gloves, using the backpockets to be the mitts!
Do you ever have crafting disasters?
Yes - but more often I go with the flow and try to adapt it into being something different. It's very sad when you have to give up and throw away something you've been making.
If you had a crafting wish, what would it be
More time!! I've more projects than I've time to do them - my cupboard is creaking with fabrics and half finished projects!!
